The “Alba Green Energy” fair, which took place between September 30 and October 1, 2023, enjoyed a large number of visitors, a sign that the public is interested in technologies related to energy efficiency and renewable energy production.
The exhibiting companies, which were also present in a record number of the 11th edition of the Fair, confirmed the increased interest of the public in these equipments and the exhibited solutions.
The event was dedicated to the development of the local market for energy efficiency and renewable energy production solutions and achieved its main goal of informing and raising public awareness in these areas.
Visitors could find out technical details, but also costs related to photovoltaic panel systems, heat pumps, efficient heating and cooling systems, efficient lighting, automation and other smart home solutions. A special attraction was the presence of numerous electric vehicles. Cars, scooters, utility vehicles, electric bicycles were a special attraction, evidenced by the numerous test drives offered by the dealers present.
The fair proved its usefulness in that visitors were able to come into direct contact with the various equipment, could dialogue with the distributors and suppliers of the products, could discover their advantages and could have the opportunity to benefit from offers on the product packages offered by the exhibitors.
A common motivation among the public for visiting the Fair was, on the one hand, concern about the ever-increasing energy prices and, on the other hand, the need to find solutions to become more energy efficient and produce their local energy for own consumption.
The bicycle march, which aimed to promote cycling among young people, organized within the Fair, was also this year a special attraction for secondary school students, who participated in significant numbers in the event. The kindergarten eco-spectacle continued to delight the participants with the artistic moments of the little ones, addressing themes related to environmental protection, and the Fair’s raffle offered substantial prizes to those who participated in this event.
The organizers, the Alba Local Energy Agency (ALEA) and the Alba County Council, are determined to continue this project in the years to come, convinced that the need to become more energy efficient is an important aspect for the citizens of the county and constitutes an indispensable condition for a sustainable development of the region.
