Electricity distribution tariffs could increase by 6% from January 1, Gabriel Andronache, vice-president of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), said on Monday.

“I had several discussions with the distributors. From their point of view, there are more requests for certain activities that they carry out, for which they would like much more money. Also, they, in turn, could make the investments a little more calculated, especially in this transport area, so that if the network had been developed and strengthened in stages, there would not be this pressure at the moment carried out by the prosumers,” Gabriel Andronache said, according to Agerpres.

Asked if there is an estimate of the increase in electricity distribution tariffs for January 1, valid for the following year, he stated that “it will be around six percent”.
