GDF International made a firm offer to Fondul Proprietatea (FP), in the amount of 87 million euro, to take over the entire holding it has in the share capital of Engie Romania, FP announced.
“Franklin Templeton International Services SPRL, in its capacity as administrator of alternative investment funds and sole administrator of Fondului Proprietatea SA, wishes to inform the shareholders that it has received a firm offer from GDF International SA, the majority shareholder of Engie Romania SA, in connection with a potential sale of Fondului Proprietatea’s entire holding in the share capital of Engie Romania SA, for the amount of 87 million euro,” says a report of Fondului Proprietatea, submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
According to the document, any potential transaction is conditioned by the agreement on the terms of the share sale – purchase contract and any suspensive conditions, which will includes the approval of the transaction by the shareholders of Fondul Proprietatea
“Other announcements will be made as and when it is relevant”, emphasizes FP in the report.
Fondul Proprietatea currently owns 11.99% of Engie Romania’s share capital (representing 14.53% of the NPV of the Fund on October 31, 2023).
