The E-Infra group will put into operation 120 MW of storage this year, 60 MW in June, and another 60 MW by the end of the year, said Teofil Mureşan, general director of E-Infra.
“The companies of the group will put into operation, in June, 60 MW of storage, and by the end of the year another 60 MW. So, we will invest in 120 MW projects this year. The first stage, of 60 MW, is in the execution phase. I think that of the thousands of MW solar and wind will probably be done less than 50%, probably 20-30%. It is difficult to make this prediction, because it depends a lot on the investors”, Mureşan said, according to Agerpres.
Currently, the cost for 1 MW installed is about half of what it was three years ago.
“In storage, in a single year, the cost of batteries and inverters has been reduced by half. So, what seemed unsustainable two or three years ago became sustainable almost overnight,” said the E-Infra CEO.
The E-Infra group includes 5 Romanian companies, active in the field of energy, construction and telecommunications infrastructure. The group includes Electrogrup SA, Direct One SA, Netcity Telecom SRL, Nova Power & Gas SRL and WESEE SRL.
