Dobrogea is a keystone for the future of energy in the country and the region, and Romania can be a pioneer in the field of offshore wind energy, said Silviu Coșa, Prefect of Constanta County, at the conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Constanța”.
“The area where we have the chance to be pioneers is offshore wind. It would be a first for the countries bordering the Black Sea,” said the prefect.
He added that the current geopolitical context requires the existence of the country’s energy independence by exploiting the energy potential of Constanta County. Using this potential, Dobrogea will be able to play an important role in Europe as well, given that the country’s main energy resources are concentrated in Dobrogea and Constanta.
“This makes Constanta County a pillar of energy stability in the Black Sea basin and Europe. We are a basin for historic projects in energy capacity,” the prefect said, listing the investments announced by the authorities in the Cernavodă nuclear power plant and in the exploitation of gas from the Neptun Deep perimeter.
The conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Constanța” was organized by Energynomics, with the support of our partners: ADC, Elektra Renewable Support, FPPG, WALDEVAR Energy.
