Romgaz’s first international bond issue, worth 500 million euro, is scheduled for mid-July, said the company’s general manager, Răzvan Popescu.
Romgaz’s bond financing program is up to 1.5 billion euros, maybe even in three installments, Popescu said, quoted by Financialintelligence.
The first tranche, of 500 million euro, is scheduled for mid-July, the money to be invested also into the financing of Neptun Deep project.
“We will have an investment period of 3 years, therefore, we want to have flexibility and freedom to access the capital market. Fitch gave us a rating and I really liked that they understood that Neptun Deep is a project that will transform the landscape, both for Romgaz and for Romania. (…) It will be an international issue, but it will probably be a dual listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. We want this because of the international interest in these bonds. The first installment will be international, and we will evaluate along the way whether we will only use BVB for the following shows”, said Popescu, during an event.
Popescu mentioned that Romgaz also plans a photovoltaic project and is looking for opportunities for acquisitions. The company is also considering a CCS (carbon capture and storage) project.
