The tender for the refurbishment of the adduction gallery of HPP Izvoarele was won by DIMEX 2000 Company, in association with PIKANORE. The alliance of Bistrița-based Dimex with Prahova-based Pikanore led to obtaining a contract with a total value of 70.9 million lei, according to Transilvania Business.

The investment on the Teleajen river, in Prahova county, will have 48 months for the design and execution of the rehabilitation works of the adduction gallery of CHP Izvoarele. It is about a hydropower facility built and used before 1989, with an installed capacity of 16 MW.

In March of 2024, SPEH Hidroelectrica SA, as the contracting authority, had reached a third evaluation in the framework of the awarding procedure of the Contract: Design and execution “Rehabilitation of the adduction gallery of the Izvoarele CHP”. In the spring, the estimated value of the works was 63.24 million lei.

Hidroelectrica had previously declared the winner of the bid submitted by the Pikanore-Dimex Association. Each time, the appeals formulated by the Hydroconstruction-Electromontaj Association were admitted.

“One of the main reasons why the appeals were admitted and the previous decisions of the contracting authority were annulled, consisted in the fact that the execution and/or rehabilitation works of county roads and bridges invoked by Pikanore-Dimex in proving similar experience were included erroneously by the contracting authority in the category of hydrotechnical works,” the Hidroconstrucția lawyers mentioned in March.
