The owners of the largest office complex in Cluj-Napoca, brothers Adrian and Dragoș Pavăl, who also own the Dedeman chain of stores, decided to set up a photovoltaic park at The Office Cluj-Napoca, according to Transilvania Business.

“At The Office Cluj-Napoca, we are about to complete the installation of our first integrated photovoltaic park on the roof of one of our office buildings. It will have an installed power of 141 kWp. It represents an eco-friendly initiative through which we will produce green energy to power the common areas of the building. We are happy to take concrete steps towards a more sustainable future and contribute to protecting the environment,” company’s management says.

The Pavăl brothers bought the complex five years ago from NEPI Rockcastle and Ovidiu Şandor, the value of the transaction being estimated at 100 million euros. It has a leasable area of 60,000 sqm, being classified with BREEAM Excellent green building certification, respectively with WELL Health-Safety.

“The Office project is an ideal choice for Dedeman. It convinced us not only by its location in one of the most important and developed cities of the country, but also by the high standards of quality and sustainability it meets,” said Dragoș Pavăl at the time.

The Pavăl Holding group joined the founders of the Simtel Team engineering company that built over 30 photovoltaic power plants for the Dedeman DIY network, owned by the same Bacău businessmen. The capacity installed by Simtel on the roofs of Dedeman stores and logistics centers was 8.8 MWpm, with 7,467 photovoltaic panels installed in 12 months within 10 units.
