Restart Energy has completed the construction and installation of a photovoltaic project for the company Mobilaiud worth more than 850,000 euro. The beneficiary’s investment will be amortized in about 3 years.

The project consists of 2,195 panels located both on the ground and on the roof of two buildings belonging to the beneficiary, in the commune of Rădești, Alba County.

The panels cover an area of 12,000 square meters and will produce 1,130 MWh of energy per year, about 95% of the company’s energy needs.

Solar panels reduce the amount of CO2 emissions released into the atmosphere by about 351 tons per year and radioactive waste by 3.3 kg per year.

The reduction of carbon emissions through the implementation of solar energy projects will be monitored through the RED platform, implemented in 2021, a platform dedicated to carbon footprint calculation, carbon reduction through sustainability projects or carbon footprint offsets. Green attributes, both those obtained for individual sustainable actions and carbon credits, can be sold internally through the RED platform’s marketplaces, through a technologized, transparent and secure process dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and improving ESG policies.

“Protecting the environment has always been a concern for us. We have invested heavily in our waste disposal and recycling activities and in equipping the factory with state-of-the-art facilities that comply with all the requirements of the regulations in force. The recently installed photovoltaic power plant provides almost all of the company’s energy consumption from renewable sources, saving more than 200,000 euro a year for the budget”, says Anton Godorogea, Administrator Mobilaiud.

“The transition to green energy is a necessity for companies in all industries, and the demand for the installation of photovoltaic projects is growing. These investments are also supported by ongoing government initiatives, such as the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), projects under the Rural Investment Financing Agency (AFIR), the Modernization Fund and Electric Up 2. In this context, Restart Energy aims to strengthen the segment of corporate customers interested in renewable energy projects and the development of its own large photovoltaic parks”, says Armand Domuța, CEO & Founder Restart Energy.

Restart Energy provided the entire energy efficiency project for the beneficiary company, from consultancy and design to implementation.

The photovoltaic panel market in Europe will grow by 12-14% in 2025, equivalent to 330 GW installed, according to Neomar estimates

The period 2024-2030 will be characterized by substantial growth in the European PV panel market, at a steady and predictable pace, taking into account both government subsidies, falling PV system prices and the green energy targets set at government level in the European Union, a recent Neomar study shows. A moderate-optimistic scenario shows a 10-20% average annual growth of solar capacity additions in 2023-2024, averaging 10-20% per year to a cumulative 280-300 GW, then a return to a more moderate 12-14% growth in 2025 to close to 330 GW installed, according to the same source.

The potential of the PV systems market in Romania, in terms of value or quantity, can be viewed both from the perspective of a future increase in electricity demand – increased consumption, resulting in additional market growth – and from the perspective of replacing already existing non-renewable sources of electricity generation.

The total installed solar capacity in Romania by 2030 is estimated at 10,511 GWh, of which 1,997 GWh by private prosumers. In terms of value, the market for PV systems in Romania is estimated to reach more than EUR 9 billion in 2030, of which more than EUR 1.8 billion will come from individual prosumers.
