Banks are increasingly turning to partnerships for investments in the energy sector and energy efficiency, as investors see these areas as strategic investments for Romania, said Dan Bota, Head of Multinational Corporate Clients at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, at the conference “Digitalization and energy efficiency – Brașov 2024” organised by Energynomics and the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania.

“Romania has a good starting point because of its balanced energy mix,” Bota said, adding that this combination of diverse energy resources gives Romania a competitive advantage in developing green energy and energy efficiency projects.

According to Mr Bota, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank provides dedicated funds for green investments, which benefit from preferential conditions. These include affordable financing for projects that contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy and to increasing energy efficiency.

“In the countries where we have our own offices, we are investing heavily in energy efficiency in buildings and will continue to do so,” Bota added.

The conference “Digitalization and energy efficiency – Brașov 2024” was organised by Energynomics and the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania, with the support of our partners: Bepco, Exim Banca Românească,  ICAP CRIF, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, Polytrade Global, SolarX Power, Unicredit Bank, WALDEVAR Energy, WEBUS 4 ENERGY.
