Hidroelectrica signed a contract with the company PayU for the provision of card payment services for end customers.
The contract, awarded as a result of a sectoral procurement procedure in which three bidders participated – PayU, the association formed by CEC Bank – Europayment Services and Netopia Financial Services, has a value of 3.463 million lei and includes payment services through its own application of the company, iHidro, including for the mobile version, as well as through the official website.
The new payment services will improve the accessibility and convenience of Hidroelectrica’s digital platforms, offering customers a safe and easy way to manage payments, Hidroelectrica appreciates.

The implementation of the payment processor has a deadline of 15 days from the issuance of the execution order by Hidroelectrica, following the completion of a reconciliation process of the IT technologies used and the completion of the additional developments necessary for the iHidro application. The new card payment method, including integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay, will bring more comfort, ensuring a fast and efficient experience in managing invoice payments by the company’s customers.
