The Competition Council announced that it authorized the transaction through which OMV Petrom S.A. intends to outsource to the association formed by Eugen Trans S.R.L. and Rohrer Oil & Gas Services S.R.L. certain services, together with the employees who serve them.

Thus, the services of transport planning, loading, unloading and transport of equipment from one location to another would be outsourced, as well as certain logistics operations, such as those of handling/lifting with a crane, additional to those related to the actual transport .

Eugen Trans S.R.L. performs civil and industrial construction, road and bridge construction, works with construction machinery and provides road transport services regarding various categories of goods.

Rohrer Oil & Gas Services S.R.L. offers liquid transportation services, maintenance services and interventions regarding the interruption of well operation, respectively industrial cleaning services.

OMV Petrom deals with the extraction of crude oil, being active along the entire energy value chain: from the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas, to the refining and distribution of fuels, the generation of electricity, as well as the trading of natural gas and energy electrical.

Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.
