One week until Power Shift Summit: Discover who’s attending and how you can join the event!
There’s just one week left until the Power Shift Summit, the event that will bring together leaders from the energy industry, top energy-consuming companies, and IT sector experts. On October 29-30, 2024, join us for two days packed with meetings, debates, workshops, and exhibitions, where you’ll get the latest insights on power grids, energy investments and digitalization, data centers, and cloud technologies, alongside international experts and journalists.
The event is organized by the Romanian Wind Energy and Photovoltaic Associations, RWEA and RPIA, in partnership with WindEurope, SolarPower Europe, AmCham, Concordia, AFEER, and ACUE.
Day 1 – October 29, 2024 The first day brings together representatives from all segments of the energy industry, from oil and natural gas to renewables. The summit will be opened by Romanian government officials, through the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of European Funds, along with the U.S. and Swedish Ambassadors to Bucharest, and the heads of the top European renewable energy associations: WindEurope and SolarPower Europe. Energy leaders from companies such as PPC Renewables Romania (the main event sponsor), Hitachi, Vestas, OMV Petrom, E.ON, Engie, OX2, and Evryo, will take the stage to discuss the future of energy in interactive panels moderated by journalists and energy experts.
The debates will be followed by workshops on:
- Energy price analysis and market trends. Session hosted by AFEER.
- The future of energy financing: State aid vs. Capital markets. Session hosted by PPC Renewables Romania.
- Innovative energy storage solutions. Session hosted by Monsson Group and Prime Batteries.
- Recycling in the photovoltaic sector. Session hosted by RPIA.
Day 2 – October 30, 2024 The second day focuses on energy-intensive industries and technology. The day will start with speeches from representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Romanian Presidential Administration, followed by presentations from BusinessEurope, European Aluminium, and companies such as Nordex Group, Distribuție Oltenia, UiPath, Bento, and Cluster Power. Discussions will center on enhancing competitiveness in Europe, transforming industries through the energy transition, and the role of technology in the future of energy, through digitalization, cloud, and data centers.
The panels will be followed by workshops on:
- Efficient energy transition: Bringing energy producers closer to consumers. Session hosted by ACUE.
- Transactions in the renewable sector. Session hosted by OX2.
- Offshore wind energy and the development of the value chain. Session hosted by RWEA.
