The producer of battery energy storage solutions iNOVAT Energy Storage Solutions has contracts for such systems with a capacity of 20 MW in Turkey and several European countries, stated Atil Enis Tokcan, Chief Sales Officer at the company.

“So far, we have completed energy storage projects totaling 20 MW in Turkey and Europe, and recently we signed a contract in the Czech Republic for 100 MWh,” Tokcan said at the “Regional Approach Istanbul: Co-operation for profitable energy” conference organized by Energynomics and Enexus Renewable Energy. The project in the Czech Republic, to be managed by the advanced energy management application “Powerkonnekt”, involves a complex storage system equipped with LG Energy Solution batteries with a total capacity of about 104 MWh. The 36 containerised systems will be installed by the end of 2026.

The first project for the installation of such a system was in Ukraine in 2020. It was supposed to be expanded, but it is currently on hold. The second project is in Turkey, and in 2022, the company managed to export its first storage system to Ukraine. Additionally, the company has a production center with a capacity of 1 GWh per year located in Ankara, Turkey.

In a strategic initiative to strengthen its presence in Romania’s dynamic energy landscape, iNOVAT Energy Storage Solutions has developed a partnership with Best Tools Company, a specialised industrial equipment distributor in the region. Best Tools is one of the leading distributors of industrial generator sets in Romania, involved in the energy sector since 2006. This strategic collaboration positions the Romanian company at the forefront of innovation, poised to have a lasting impact on the country’s energy future.

The collaborative effort aims to make significant progress in the Romanian energy storage market, capitalising on the growing opportunities generated by the funds available for energy storage capacities. Most notable are funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – NRRP for energy storage systems and the Modernisation Fund, presenting an attractive prospect for innovative solutions in the region.

The conference “Regional Approach Istanbul” was organized by Energynomics and  Enexus Renewable Energy, with the support of our partners: Dentons, Electrica,  Elektra Renewable Support, Enexus Renewable Energy, Huawei, iNovat Energy Storage Solutions,  Photomate, Pomega Energy Storage Technologies, RomCapital Invest, Solar Today, Solpeg, STA Solar, Volt.
