Elektra Renewable Support will reach a benchmark this year, exceeding 700 MW of capacity in operation, said Elena Popescu, the company’s CEO, at the conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Timisoara”, organised by Energynomics.
“We started in 2011 with our first 8 MW wind power plant, and we currently manage 600 MW in technical operation for various partners. This year, we will exceed 700 MW,” said Popescu.
Also, starting next year, Elektra Renewable Support will integrate energy storage systems in all its wind energy projects with capacities between 6 and 10 MW. Popescu pointed out that since 2009, the company has been able to consolidate its business and maximize profits by utilizing all available commercial resources. Energy storage systems have enabled Elektra to support the national grid and generate additional revenues by balancing supply and demand in the energy system.
The conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Timisoara” was organised by Energynomics, with the support of its partners: ABB, BCR, CRC, Datacor, Elektra Renewable Support, MET Energy Romania, Nofar Energy, Polytrade Global, Volt, WALDEVAR Energy.
