Future Energy Leaders (FEL) Romania launches the “Women for Women in Energy” mentoring programme

Future Energy Leaders Romania (FEL Romania) announces the launch of “Women for Women in Energy”, its first mentoring programme dedicated to women in the organisation who want to develop their career in the energy sector.

“Women for Women in Energy” aims to help women in the energy sector to overcome professional barriers and reach their full potential by providing knowledge and mentoring directly from nine top women leaders in the Romanian energy industry.

For approximately one month, participants will benefit from one-to-one sessions – both face-to-face and online – that will support the development of key skills such as strategic leadership, corporate governance, effective communication in times of organisational transformation, and work-life balance.

 

The ladies involved in the programme as mentors are:

  • Anamaria Acristini, Managing Director, BayWa r.e. Romania
  • Magda Capisizu, Head of Customer Department, Distrigaz Sud Rețele
  • Alina Dumitrașcu, Legal and Corporate Affairs, PPC Romania
  • Claudia Griech, CEO, E.ON Energy Romania
  • Maria Mănicuță, Director of Tariffs for Gas and Electricity Networks, ANRE
  • Ana Nedea, Director of Strategy and Business Development, Simtel
  • Livioara Șujdea, Chief Distribution Officer, Electrica SA
  • Silvia Vlăsceanu, Executive Director, HENRO

“In FEL Romania we are a community of 40 active members, of which a significant 40 per cent are women,” says Rareș Hurghiș, Executive Director of FEL Romania. The “Women for Women in Energy” programme is a valuable opportunity for the development of young women in energy, contributing to the future of the industry through the experience and advice of the nine leaders. “We thank all the mentors who have dedicated their time and expertise to inspire and guide the next generation, giving us an example of professional excellence and commitment to the future of the industry”, adds Rareș Hurghiș.

“We are extremely excited about the launch of this programme and the impact it will have on our careers”, adds Livia Marica, FEL Romania member and project manager of the Women for Women in Energy programme, “The mentors bring extensive experience in leadership, organisational transformation and strategy and professional development, and the mentoring sessions are conducted in a flexible way to encourage a real exchange of knowledge and perspectives. Moreover, we believe that through this programme we can inspire as many women as possible to reach their full career potential.”

Future Energy Leaders Romania (FEL Romania) is the youth platform of the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (CNR-WEC) and is part of the global network of Future Energy Leaders, developed by the World Energy Council.

FEL Romania is a network of young professionals discussing ideas and developing projects. The objectives of the programme include professionalising young people in the energy sector and developing the skills needed for the 4th industrial revolution, increasing employability and increasing the presence of young people in decision-making positions.
