Enexus Renewable Energy will deliver over 150 MW installed in renewable energy generation and storage projects next year, said Iulia Meiroșu, CFO of Enexus Renewable Energy.

“If we look at the 53 MW delivered by our full EPC area, in 2025 we will deliver three times more”, said Meiroșu, at the conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Bucharest” organised by Energynomics together with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania – CCIpR.

The company delivered its first hybrid project this year, consisting of a 20 MW solar park and a 3 MW battery system. Meiroșu said the battery energy storage market is becoming increasingly attractive for investors looking to diversify their portfolios.

“The backbone of the investments are private, but in the future, however, there will be a synergy between projects developed with public funds and those realised with private funds. Now the focus is on delivering hybrid PV capacity with storage as they make more sense. This will happen accelerated in the coming years and has been happening for two years already. Investments are aimed at better and more controllable production with optimised yields,” she added.

At the same time, based on current projects announced by investors, renewables are likely to fully replace coal-fired power stations by 2030.
