Ariston Romania has joined the Hope Build project of the non-governmental organization Habitat for Humanity Romania, equipping a new neighborhood of houses with 8 hybrid systems, consisting of heat pumps and central heating. Along with these, the company also donated 8 solar panels, to supplement the need for domestic hot water. Thus, Ariston helped to form the first sustainable community, in which houses use energy efficiently and contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

As part of the Hope Build project of the Habitat for Humanity Romania organization, a new neighborhood of houses was built in the commune of Țuțora, Iași county, for low-income families in vulnerable categories. The goal of the project is to contribute to the development of social housing in these communities. The Ariston action is part of the Ariston for the Community CSR initiative, through which the company annually donates energy-efficient products to schools, hospitals, nursing homes, bringing sustainable comfort where it is needed.

“It has already been seven years since the Ariston for the Community initiative existed, during which we have tried to contribute and help where we could, to provide comfort to the categories that need it most: patients, children, the elderly, vulnerable families. We are glad that, this year, we have managed to offer them this comfort and, at the same time, to create a community in which the heating systems work efficiently, respecting our promise of sustainable comfort. The systems have a reduced impact on the environment and a high energy efficiency, gentler on the costs of these vulnerable families. We are confident that this is only the first community, certainly not the last,” said Cătălin Drăguleanu, Head of East Europe Southern Countries, Ariston Group.

“The partnership with Ariston Romania represents an important step in our mission to build sustainable and affordable homes for vulnerable families. Energy-efficient equipment, such as heat pumps and solar panels, offered by Ariston, not only ensures thermal comfort for these families, but also contributes to reducing the impact on the environment. It is a joy to see how, together, we can transform the concept of social housing into modern, sustainable and environmentally friendly communities,” added Roberto Pătrășcoiu, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Romania.

The Ariston for the Community project has, over time, brought together 24 NGOs through which Ariston Romania has donated over 4,000 products, for approximately 370,000 beneficiaries. Among the NGOs are Habitat for Humanity Romania, the Romanian Red Cross Society, the Magic Association, the Dăruiește Viață Association, SOS Satele Copiilor, The Social Incubator Association, Salvamont Romania, the Regina Maria Foundation, Save the Children Romania and many others.
