Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and business continuity solutions, announced the acquisition by its China subsidiary of certain assets and technologies of BiXin Energy Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd (BSE), a manufacturer of chillers, heat pumps, heat recovery solutions and air handling units.
Focused on expanding Vertiv’s chiller family, the acquisition strengthens Vertiv’s portfolio of critical technologies and solutions in support of high-performance computing and AI applications globally. BSE China specializes in both water-cooled and air-cooled systems with cooling capacity up to 5.5 MW, as well as heat recovery and reuse solutions.
Established in 2010, BSE brings Vertiv an established and proven market presence in China and other Asian regions, along with industrial patents, advanced technology solutions and strong R&D capabilities that will strengthen Vertiv’s global offering.
BSE’s core product offerings include oil-free, magnetic bearing, water- and air-cooled centrifugal chillers incorporating pumped refrigerant economizer technology with cooling capacities up to 5.5 MW. BSE is a leader in the Asian region in centrifugal technology, which is designed to deliver high efficiency, low maintenance, quiet operation and high reliability.
“This acquisition supports our capital allocation strategy, which includes adding early-stage technologies to our portfolio,” said Giordano Albertazzi, CEO, Vertiv. “BSE’s solutions and technologies complement and strengthen Vertiv’s existing chiller portfolio and will help us address the growing demand for air and liquid cooling to support high-performance computing and AI. Vertiv has the most comprehensive portfolio of critical digital infrastructure, and BSE further strengthens our technology offerings that we can provide to customers globally.”
Since early 2024, Vertiv has partnered with BSE to manufacture under the Vertiv brand for existing customers in China and across Asia. BSE is a certified testing facility by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), a member of the China Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), and a China High and New Technology Enterprise. Its products carry AHRI and CRAA certified product labels. The combination of engineering, testing and technology expertise in centrifugal chillers complements Vertiv’s global cooling product portfolio.
“We have enjoyed a great partnership with Vertiv and look forward to becoming part of the company,” said York Zha, CEO of BSE. “We are excited to combine our portfolio with Vertiv’s to deliver a highly efficient and reliable offering of cooling and heat recovery and reuse solutions for data center customers globally.”
