The European Commission announced on Monday that it has transferred amounts with a total value of 26.8 billion euros, in the form of loans and grants, to the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Romania, under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, according to a press release from the Community Executive.
While Germany received 13.5 billion euros, Italy received 8.7 billion euros, Portugal received 2.9 billion euros, the Czech Republic received 1.7 billion euros, Romania received 37.05 million euros, under the second payment request of PNRR, according to Agerpres.
To date, Romania has received a total of 9.4 billion euros, out of a total of 28.53 billion euros allocated for the country’s PNRR.
In mid-December last year, the Romanian Government sent the European Commission payment request number 3 of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which involves a net financing of 2.7 billion euros. Of this amount, over 1.85 billion euros represent grants, and 811 million will come from loans.
