Romgaz announced in a notice sent to the BSE that on November 7, 2018, the Board of Directors of the Company, endorsed the request of the majority shareholder of Romgaz, the Romanian State through the Ministry of Energy, regarding the distribution in 2018 of an additional dividend 1.30 lei/share, for a total amount of approximately 501 million lei.

In July, the natural gas producer paid about 1.35 billion lei to the state budget. Thursday’s decision is a response to a similar measure taken in October 2017 when Romgaz shareholders approved granting of additional dividends worth 747.72 million lei at the request of the Ministry of Energy.

At the same time, the Board of Directors of Nuclearelectrica National Company S.A. (SNN) approved the Convocation of the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of SNN set for 10.12.2018 to analyze the request of the majority shareholder of the company, the Romanian state through the Ministry of Energy, regarding the additional payment of gross dividends worth almost 238 million lei, according to a public statement from SNN. The gross dividend per share is 0.78 lei and the amounts will be paid to the shareholders on December 28, 2018.

Listed on the BSE since 2013, SNN is under the authority of the Ministry of Energy, the state holding 82.4959% of shares, Fondul Proprietatea, 9.0903% and other shareholders, 8.4138%.
