The French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania will take over the coordination of the Coalition for the Development of Romania for the mandate of July – December 2021, and Adela Jansen, member of the Board of Directors of CCIFER, will be the coordinator of the Coalition.
CCIFER takes over this responsibility from the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK), after 6 months of coordination achieved through its representative, Dragoş Anastasiu, informs CDR.
On Tuesday, CDR met in plenary session, attended by Prime Minister Florin Cîţu and some of his cabinet ministers. Through the 14 working groups and the executive management, CDR conveyed to the Government that it will continue to contribute with viable proposals and solutions, for Romania to advance in the top competitiveness of EU economies, where today we are ranked 26th out of 27. At the same time, the Coalition expressed its desire to intensify the direct and transparent dialogue with the Government and Parliament of Romania, in order to increase the degree of predictability necessary for the Romanian economy.
“The increase of Romania’s economic competitiveness represents for CDR the goal of all its actions. The first semester of this year was mainly dedicated to the elaboration of concrete proposals to support PNRR and to grant remedial measures for companies affected by the pandemic. The 350 experts from all fields they submitted 40 documents with proposals on public policies and had 32 meetings with the line ministries. At the end of my coordination mandate, I want this dialogue to intensify at the level of the Prime Minister, for the benefit of the economic environment,” said Dragos Anastasiu.
Adela Jansen stressed that for the next period CDR will focus on the implementation of PNRR, improving the absorption of European funds, the priorities identified in each area in which CDR is involved.
“Today we sent to the Prime Minister a number of 37 measures that the CDR working groups consider essential for the coming period. The business environment has both the capacity and the desire to contribute concretely to the development and future of Romania,” said the future coordinator of the CDR.
