At Monday’s meeting, OMV’s Board of Supervisors appointed Alfred Stern as chairman of the company’s Executive Committee and CEO since September 1, 2021, replacing Rainer Seele.
According to an OMV statement, Alfred Stern accepted the appointment. He will take office on September 1, 2021 and will have a three-year term, with the possibility of extension for another two years, subject to mutual agreement.
The current Chairman of the Executive Committee and Director General of OMV, Rainer Seele, will resign from his position in the Executive Committee, by mutual agreement, on August 31, 2021.
Alfred Stern (56) is currently a member of the OMV Executive Committee for Chemicals and Materials.

Together with his team on the Executive Committee, he has firmly realigned OMV’s portfolio, growing profits and setting the base for the transformation that takes place.
