The Ministry of Finance wants to launch Samurai bonds on the Japanese market this year, depending on the market context and will launch an issue of green bonds every year, said today, Alin Andries, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, at an event at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, on the occasion of the listing of a new issue of Fidelis state securities.

“Regarding the Samurai bonds in the Japanese market, we have finalized an issuance framework and are currently in contact with the brokerage syndicate and our partners to identify the right moment, from the perspective of the market context. Our goal is to make the show this year. The moment when we will achieve it depends on the market context. As you know, we also did not announce the foreign markets releases this year long in advance, because it depends a lot on the context, because we want to maximize the potential of attracting money. Our objective with the issue of Samurai bonds is, on the one hand, diversification – to enter a new market, and on the other hand, it is diversification from a currency perspective and attracting new investors”, said Alin Andries, quoted by Financialintelligence .

The Secretary of State also stated that a new issue of green bonds will follow in 2025: “Our goal is to have a green bond issue every year. Regarding the first issue made this year, we are in the process of allocating and spending the money we have collected. Our objective is to have a new show in 2025, depending on the context and the projects that will be.”
