Director for Division of Energy and Environment from the Institute of Energy and Project Engineering (ISPE), Carmencita Constantin, took over the leadership of Alstom Thermal Services, the service division of French group Alstom for thermal power plants in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova.
Carmencita Constantin has a PhD in energy engineering and has 30 years of experience in ISPE, during which she participated as project manager, consultant and partner in many national and international projects, as the Getica CCS project, which aimed to capture and to store the carbon dioxide released from Turceni thermal power project in partnership with Romgaz, Transgaz and Alstom.
Alstom group is active in the production and transport of electricity and rail infrastructure. Overall, Alstom has 93,000 employees in around 100 countries. In 2012-2013 fiscal years, Alstom made sales of over 20 billion euros and orders of almost 24 billion euros.
Alstom is present in Romania for over 20 years, where it has 1,040 employees and develops projects in energy, transport and networks for energy transmission and distribution.
