An interview with Andrei Bucur, Business Development Manager, MET Romania Energy Marketing, one of the confirmed speakers at the Energy Breakfast Club conference “Smart buildings – what we need for having more” from February 28th.
What are the simplest measures to be implemented in order to increase the energy efficiency of buildings?
The fastest measures for energy efficiency in a building are mounting thermostats in all areas of interest to transmit commands to the cooling / heating system. These are simple rules, easy to adapt to users’ needs and decisions.
Lighting can also play an important role in increasing energy efficiency. The first measures can be related to the change of incandescent bulbs or even of the economic ones with led bulbs. From here, we can move on to motion / presence sensors and even photocells that can turn on / off lighting.
How does your background energy provider help you?
An electricity supplier clearly understands what an unpredictable consumption means. Lack of optimization of an energy system can cause imbalances on the consumption curve at certain time intervals, which translates into additional operating costs.
What type of solutions have MET Romania for increased energy efficiency in buildings?
For the efficiency of buildings, MET Romania has several solutions, which are suitable for a large number of clients, regardless of the complexity of their activities.
To begin with, our services focus on consulting and auditing. After a well-documented study, we can offer solutions in several directions: lighting, air conditioning, real-time reading of the metering equipment, charging stations for e-cars, on and off grid photovoltaic systems, etc.
