Three packages of measures aimed at digitalizing Romania were recently proposed by the representatives of the Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry (ANIS), the document being sent to the authorities, at the request of the Romanian Government.
According to the quoted source, these are the National Digitalization Package, the Acceleration Digitalization Package and the State Aid Package for Digitalization.
Regarding the National Digitalization Package, it involves a set of measures designed to help Romania recover from the enormous handicap in terms of digitalization and can create an environment conducive to the development of specialized software companies.
According to ANIS, the legislative framework needs to be quickly updated so as to allow and encourage the rapid adoption of cloud technologies, which have a very high potential to accelerate the digitalization process. The Government must also establish the obligation for all institutions to display the programming interfaces of the applications used, in order to be able to interconnect the various public applications, which today operate in isolation. At the same time, the Digitalization Acceleration Package aims to support software manufacturers specialized in digitalizing and automating business processes, whether it is business processes in private companies or state institutions, according to Agerpres.
At the same time, the State Aid Package for Digitalization is intended for SMEs and state-owned companies to which it will provide both a minimum of funding to open the appetite for digitalization solutions and assistance in selecting the right solutions.
