The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) establishes the Energy Command, as a result of the large number of complaints filed by citizens in the context of billing the consumption of electricity and natural gas to individual consumers, it is mentioned in a statement issued by the institution on Thursday.
At the same time, ANPC decided to set up the Energy Command due to the complexity of the irregularities found in the field in the 5 days since the verifications in this field started, it is specified in the release.
According to the source, the new structure will bring together ANPC commissioners from all over the country and will include additional control teams in areas where the number of complaints from citizens is higher, in order to be able to quickly carry out the necessary checks.
The role of the Energy Command is to quickly manage the volume of information received as a result of controls throughout the country and to ensure the collaboration with other state institutions empowered in solving the highlighted control problems when they exceed the competences of ANPC.
The Energy Command will be coordinated by the ANPC president, Mihai Culeafă and by the ANPC general director, Paul Anghel, and will function until March 31, 2022.
