The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) received settlement requests from energy suppliers on the compensation-cap scheme worth approximately 4 billion lei, and between December 2024 and January 23, 2025, requests worth almost 327 million lei were verified and sent for payment to the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Labor – the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS), ANRE President George Niculescu announced on Thursday, according to Agerpres.
‘Currently, requests totaling approximately 4 billion lei are submitted to the regulatory authority for verification and analysis. Between December and mid-January, requests worth 327 million lei were verified and sent for payment to the Ministry of Energy and ANPIS. We continue the checks, we maintain the pace, we must take into account the fact that we must respect the verification samples provided for by the legislative framework. We must also take into account that we are talking about public money, money from the state budget, that is why we are checking the suppliers’ requests with maximum responsibility,’ said Niculescu, in a meeting with journalists.
According to the cited source, out of the total, requests worth 202.561 million lei were sent to ANPIS, for household consumers, while the requests sent to the Ministry of Energy, for non-household ones, amount to 124.25 million lei.
