The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has so far approved the settlement from the state budget of an amount of over 3.2 billion lei to the energy suppliers, through the bill capping mechanism, according to a press release of the institution.
Thus, with regard to GEO 118/2021, for the establishment of a compensation scheme for the consumption of electricity and natural gas for the cold season 2021-2022 (the period November 2021-March 2022), the total number of companies that submitted applications is 80, total number of applications submitted – 347, total number of approved applications – 273, total number of ineligible applications – 55, the amount sent to the Ministry of Energy – 2.3 billion lei.
Regarding GEO 27/2022, regarding the measures applicable to final customers in the electricity and natural gas market in the period April 1, 2022-March 31, 2023, 157 requests were submitted by 61 companies, of which 32 were for household customers and 55 for non-households, and the amount approved and sent to the Ministry of Energy is 596.5 million lei, and to ANPIS (household customers), 365.8 million lei, in total 962.4 million lei.
General total of the support schemes: 3.2 billion lei.
