The Regulatory Committee of the National Regulatory Authority for Energy – ANRE approved the prices for the regulated supply of natural gas to household customers at 88.28 lei/MWh. The new level is 6.8 lei higher than the one valid for the period 1 April 2017-31 March 2018, 81.48 lei / MWh.
In the press release sent on Monday, ANRE recalls that with the entry into force of the provisions of GEO 64/2016 and April 1, 2017, “the price of natural gas in domestic production is freely established on the market, based on demand and supply, and it is the main component in the cost of purchasing natural gas (CUG) and, implicitly, in the final prices to household customers. ”
The CUG value for the period 1 April 2017-31 March 2018, of 81.48 lei/MWh, was approved at the meeting of the ANRE Regulatory Committee on March 30, 2017.
Changing the CUG value generates an increase in regulated prices, along with other updates of price components since January 10, 2018, ANRE says. “The unitary impact on regulated households’ prices is 0.68 bani/Kwh, which represents an increase of 4.8 lei in the estimated monthly invoice for one year for an average consumption of 700 Kwh/month/place of consumption”.
