ANRE has started new control actions within 10 natural gas distribution operators, the institution announces.
“We found the existence of a consistent number of petitions addressed to ANRE by final customers, respectively 1,397, which refer to the way natural gas distribution operators fulfill the obligations established by the Regulation on connection to the natural gas distribution system,” says the ANRE.
“We ordered the start of control actions at a number of 10 operators to check compliance with the following aspects:
- resolving requests for connection to the natural gas distribution system that are filled in incorrectly and/or in the event that the accompanying supporting documents are not complete;
- drawing up, updating and publishing the electronic register of connection requests;
- updating the connection tariff to the distribution system from the connection contract offer;
- the stages and deadlines for the execution, reception and commissioning of the works for the connection to the natural gas distribution system;
- publication of the value of the components of the connection tariff to the distribution system, without VAT, related to the activities provided by the economic operator authorized by ANRE for design and/or the economic operator authorized by ANRE for execution;
- compliance with the terms assumed for the reimbursement of the connection fee.
As part of the same control actions, we will check the costs related to the components of the connection tariff established both by the connection offer sent to the applicant and after regularization, according to the provisions of the Methodology for calculating the tariffs related to the connection process to the transmission and distribution systems in the natural gas sector and determining the average value of a connection, approved by ANRE Order no. 9/2022.
We will also check the way of fulfilling the legal obligations regarding the granting of financial compensation provided in the Performance Standard for the natural gas distribution and system service, approved by ANRE Order no. 162/2015, with subsequent amendments and additions, for non-compliance with the deadlines related to the connection process to the natural gas distribution system”.
