The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has so far collected 606 million lei from the contribution of 2% of the turnover of the energy companies, established by GEO 114/2018, the president of the institution, Dumitru Chiriţă, said on Wednesday.
He attended the meeting of the relevant parliamentary committees to present the annual report for the past year. “ANRE takes into account, up to now, 606 million lei from the 2% contribution. These amounts will be used, according to the law, for the organization and functioning of ANRE. The money can not be used for other purposes,” said Chiriţă, quoted by Agerpres.
According to him, the institution had, on January 1, 2018, a number of 288 employees and ended the year with 313 employees. At this moment, there are 322 employees, out of 350 as provided by law.
