The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has imposed, in 2018, fines of 4 million lei to the operators in the field of electricity and 7.9 million lei to those in the gas field, according to a report of the institution.
The highest fine was written to E-Distribuție Banat, worth 500,000 lei. The company was sanctioned for violating the provisions of the Performance Standard for ensuring the electricity distribution service, respectively ensuring the intervention team in minimum legal time in case of unplanned interruptions: 8 hours in the urban area and 18 hours in the rural area, according to financialintelligence.ro .
Also, Nuclearelectrica was sanctioned with 300,000 lei, for violating the obligation of the electricity producers to offer publicly and non-discriminatively the entire amount of available electricity on the competitive market.
At the same time, Distrigaz Sud Rețele received a fine of 200,000 lei, for breach of the obligations regarding the elaboration and transmission of the technical-economic study in order to finance the works in order to achieve the objectives necessary for the connection to the objectives and systems in the natural gas sector, in violation of the provisions of the Performance Standard for the service of natural gas distribution regarding the registration, with unique number, each complaint.
Hidroelectrica and OMV Petrom were also fined by 150,000 lei each.
