The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) fined Hidroelectrica, E.ON, Electrica and Enel with 2.01 million lei for non-compliance with the regulations on electricity supply activity in the context of market liberalization, according to a statement issued by the authority.
Considering the notifications received from the consumers, ANRE started and finalized the control actions carried out at the electricity suppliers.
The following aspects were checked: the way of organizing and functioning of the call-centers; compliance with the obligation to communicate to the applicant, in writing, within a maximum of 15 working days from the date of receipt of the application, an offer regarding the conditions of electricity supply on the competitive market; compliance with the obligation to conclude the electricity supply contract within a maximum of 5 days from the date of transmission by the final customer of the necessary documents.
ANRE found non-compliance with the regulations regarding the activity of electricity supply in the context of the liberalization of the electricity market and applied a series of sanctions.
The supplier Hidroelectrica was sanctioned with a contravention fine in the amount of 410,000 lei for non-compliance in full with the legal provisions on the organization and operation of call centers, non-compliance with the 15 working days deadline for submission of tenders regarding the conditions of supply on the competitive market and non-compliance with the 5-day deadline for concluding electricity supply contracts, according to Agerpres.
In their turn, the suppliers Electrica Furnizare and E.ON Energie România were each sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 400,000 lei for non-compliance with the term of 15 working days of transmission of the offers regarding the conditions of electricity supply on the competitive market and non-compliance with the deadline of 5 days of concluding electricity supply contracts.
The suppliers Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia were each sanctioned with a contravention fine in the amount of 400,000 lei for non-compliance with the term of 5 days of concluding the electricity supply contracts.
“ANRE will continue to carry out control actions as we are notified of other possible violations of the regulations incident to the liberalization process and beyond,” the statement adds.
