The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) imposed contravention fines on electricity and natural gas distribution operators in a total amount of 2.285 million lei for non-compliance with ANRE regulations.
Between March and October 2021, ANRE carried out numerous controls at the electricity and natural gas distribution operators.
Thus, Distrigaz Sud Reţele (natural gas) was sanctioned with fines amounting to 725,000 lei, mainly for non-compliance with the 30-day deadline for issuing the Technical Connection Notice (ATR) to individuals and legal entities; non-compliance with the 45-day deadline for amending the Technical Approval in Principle (ATP) for which no connection contracts have been concluded.
Distributie Energie Electrică Romania was sanctioned with fines amounting to 690,000 lei, mainly for non-compliance with the 90-day deadline for the design, authorization, execution and reception of the commissioning of electrical connections and non-compliance with the 30-day deadline for issuing the Technical Connection Notice (ATR) to individuals and legal entities.
E-Distribuţie Muntenia was sanctioned with contravention fines amounting to 375,000 lei, E-Distribuţie Dobrogea was sanctioned with contravention fines amounting to 200,000 lei and E-Distribuţie Banat was sanctioned with contravention fines amounting to 75,000 lei. Also Delgaz Grid was sanctioned with fines in the total amount of 150,000 lei, of which 90,000 lei in the field of electricity and with fines in the amount of 60,000 lei, in the field of natural gas.
At the same time, Distribuţie Energie Oltenia was sanctioned with fines amounting to 70,000 lei, the regulatory body of the energy market also said.
