The Regulatory Committee of the National Energy Regulatory Authority approved the Order on the Connection of Prosumers to the Public Interest Electric Networks, according to a release of the institution.
“In view of the increased interest on the part of the individuals and legal persons who wish to obtain the status of prosumer in the conditions of the legislation in force, the Regulatory Committee of ANRE approved, in today’s meeting of 15.04.2020, the Order No. 69/2020 – Procedure regarding the connection to the electrical networks of public interest of the places of consumption and of production belonging to the prosumers, which have installations of electricity production from renewable sources with the installed power of at most 27 kW per consumption place, normative act by which specific, clear rules are implemented and simplified in order to streamline the process of connection to electrical networks of public interest for this category of users,” is mentioned in the statement, according to Agerpres.
The procedure comes in support of natural or legal persons who request the connection of a new place of consumption and production, the connection of these plants for the production of electricity at an existing place of consumption, as well as the certification of the quality of a prosumer.
At the same time, short durations have been set for the connection stages so that the process runs as quickly as possible, given that, according to the legislation in force, access to the electricity grid for distribution of electricity produced from renewable energy sources must be carried out, as a matter of priority, to the extent that the safety of the National Power System is not affected.
It was also considered the legal obligation of the network operators to make available to any new energy producer from renewable sources that wishes to connect to the system, reasonable and precise terms for receiving and analyzing the connection request to the electricity grid, as well as a reasonable guidance calendar for any proposed connection to the gird.
