ANRE has approved new conditions regarding the determination of the level of the minimum natural gas stock that the holders of the natural gas supply licenses have the obligation to set up between April 2022 and October 2022, it is shown in a release of the authority.
“Considering the fact that the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 27/2022 entered into force on 22.03.2022, ANRE approved as a matter of urgency the new provisions that mainly concern the following amendments: between April and October 2022, natural gas suppliers/producers of thermal energy (PET) – direct customers have the obligation to establish in the underground natural gas storage depots a minimum stock of natural gas to ensure continuity and safety in the supply of final customers/ to ensure own consumption and price affordability. The quantities of natural gas representing the minimum stocks to be stored by each supplier/PET direct customer will represent at least 30% of the quantity of natural gas required for the consumption of final customers in the portfolio,” the release reads, according to Agerpres.
Natural gas/PET suppliers, as the case may be, fulfill their obligation regarding the establishment of the minimum natural gas stock by: storing natural gas in their own name, by concluding contracts for underground storage of natural gas with one of the holders of the license for operating storage systems natural gas and/or the conclusion, by October 31, of sale-purchase contracts having as object quantities of natural gas from the underground natural gas storage depots, stored by another natural gas supplier and/or or concluding mandate contracts with another supplier for the storage of natural gas.
