The electricity transmission tariff charged by Transelectrica will increase by 15% from January 1, 2022, according to a draft order initiated by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), posted on the institution’s website.
Thus, the average tariff for the electricity transmission service will increase from 20.55 lei per MWh to 23.69 lei per MWh.
“Following the analysis of the data transmitted by the National Electricity Transmission Company ‘Transelectrica’ SA, ANRE performed, according to the provisions of Methodologies I and II, the calculations by which the electricity transmission tariffs for 2022 were established, the corrections related to the year 2020, taking into account the initial target revenues (calculated on the basis of the regulated forecast costs of the electricity transmission service) and the annual corrections for 2020, as well as the adjustments of the regulated revenue for 2022 corresponding to the estimated additional costs that the operator transport and system will register them in 2022,” it is shown in the substantiation note, according to Agerpres.
At the same time, an important contribution in the regulated income for 2022 is the cost of purchasing electricity to cover own technological consumption (CPT), which has registered since July 2021 a significant increase caused by steep price increases in the electricity market.
The new tariffs are to enter into force on January 1, 2022.
“We specify that the data taken into account when setting the tariffs for 2022 may undergo changes as a result of the consolidated verifications and analyzes to be carried out until the approval of the electricity transmission tariffs and the tariffs related to the system service,” say the ANRE representatives.
