The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has developed a document to briefly inform what people need to do to conclude a new energy contract on the free market.
This is in order to better explain to consumers what liberalization means and what the latest order approved by ANRE brings in this regard, the representatives of the authority told Agerpres.
Starting with January 1, 2021, the electricity market for household customers has been liberalized. ANRE recommends to domestic customers the conclusion of a contract in the competitive market with any licensed electricity supplier, say the ANRE representatives, according to Agerpres.
The process of changing the electricity supplier is free and does not involve technical changes.
There is no risk of disconnection during the supplier change process.
