National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) announced the launch of the project “Development of the institutional capacity of the National Energy Regulatory Authority to simplify the process of changing the electricity and natural gas supplier”, amounting to about 20 million lei, of which about 19.5 million total non-reimbursable expenses, own expenses amounting to approximately 400,000 lei.
The implementation period of the project is of 24 months, respectively July 2, 2020 – June 30, 2022.
“The overall objective of the project is to adopt measures to simplify administrative procedures for all consumers involved in the process of changing the electricity and gas supplier by implementing an intuitive and innovative IT solution that contributes to the development of a dynamic and competitive energy market,” the institution claims.
Among the objectives of the project are the simplification and systematization of the active fund of legislation in the field of activity of ANRE in order to ensure the accession of all market participants to the integrated platform developed by the project by developing and adopting a normative act in the field of energy; optimizing the operational processes in the energy market generated by supplier change requests by developing and implementing an online platform and improving the level of training by accumulating knowledge and skills for 40 people, ANRE staff, by participating in training activities.
The project refers to the development and implementation at national level of an online platform to optimize the operational processes in the energy market generated by the requests to change the electricity and natural gas supplier by managing the flow of information in a fully automated way.
