The contribution for efficient cogeneration, a tax paid in bills by all electricity consumers, to support some of the thermal energy producers, has been reduced by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), according to e-nergia.ro.
ANRE adopted in the last part of June the order no. 131/2020, which establishes the new value of the contribution for high efficiency cogeneration. This is, now, of 1.61 lei/ MWh, a level that came into force on July 1.
Previously, the level of this contribution was 1.93 lei/ MWh, therefore, from July 1, by ANRE order, this contribution was reduced by 16.5%.
The reduction of the contribution for cogeneration was announced by Prime Minister Orban on the last day of June.
