Romania officially had, on August 14, electricity production capacities with a total installed capacity of 20,608 MW, according to the data of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), but the institution is in a process of analysis to determine which of the plants still work.
The official statistics were introduced on the ANRE website, which indicate the existence of installed capacities of 20,608 MW in total.
Of the total, 32.2% represent hydro capacities (6,643 MW), 23.2% coal (4,787 MW), 15.6% hydrocarbons (3,212 MW), 14.7% wind (3,023 MW), 6.9% nuclear (1,413 MW), 6.8% solar (1,392 MW) and 0.5% biomass (106 MW), according to Agerpres.
Other sources include biogas (20,452 MW), residual heat (4.1 MW), waste (0.05 MW) and geothermal (0.015 MW) capacities.
These are the official statistics, but ANRE representatives are in an analysis process to determine exactly which of the plants still work.
