The total value of the investments planned to be made by all the network operators in the electricity and natural gas sector during the fourth regulatory period, covering the period 2019-2023 – with the exception of electricity transport, which covers the period 2020 -2024, it is about 17 billion lei, of which about 6 billion lei in the transport networks, almost 10 billion lei in the distribution networks and about 1 billion lei in the natural gas storage systems, according to the National Regulatory Authority in the field of Energy (ANRE), quoted by financialintelligence.ro.

The operators in the electricity sector transmitted the investment plans for the fourth regulatory period with a duration of five years, totaling about 9 billion lei, of which from own funds of the transport and distribution operators of about 7.2 billion lei. The difference between the two values is represented by contributions from third parties (applicants for connection, local authorities for extensions, non-reimbursable funds from the European Union), according to ANRE.
