Contravention sanctions in the total amount of 956,000 lei were applied as a result of the irregularities found in the control action “Balastiera 2020”, during July-August 2020, informs the National Agency for Mineral Resources.
The controls were carried out by specialists from the Territorial Inspection Departments and from the headquarters of ANRM, economic crime investigation police under the coordination of the Economic Crime Investigation Directorate (IGPR), representatives of the Romanian Waters National Administration, the National Environmental Guard and State Inspectorate for Road Transport Control.
About 102 objectives/ locations/ perimeters of exploitation of the mineral aggregates from the lakes, shores, meadows and terraces of the watercourses, respectively from the arrangements of fish ponds, from 7 counties were controlled, according to Agerpres.
Within the control actions, 38 irregular objectives were identified/ found, the most important of which being the development of mining activities without regulatory acts in force (permits/ licenses) – at 14 locations, the development of sand mining activities and gravel without water management permit and without environmental permit – at 9 locations; carrying out mining activities outside the approved exploitation perimeters – at 2 locations, improper preparation of the documents accompanying the goods (scales notes/notices accompanying the goods) – at 4 locations, non-compliance with the exploitation method – at 4 locations, improper completion documents regarding the quantities of aggregates extracted (topo plans, measurements) – at 3 locations and other deviations – at 5 locations.
