“We will invest around 40 million euros,” announces Dimitris Kelas, general manager of the Brasov Milk Factory – Olympus, in an advertising interview published by zf.ro. With around 500 employees, the company has a turnover of over €110 million and a plan to invest around €40 million in strengthening its relationship with farmers, sustainability and development through strategic acquisitions.
“We own the most technologically advanced dairy plant in Romania,” says Dimitris Kelas. In the next two years, Fabrica de Lapte Brasov aims to acquire a new milk bottling line and a fully automated cold storage facility. “We plan to purchase photovoltaic panels, to gain the possibility of energy independence.” The 4 million euros investment biogas station built in 2017 and the set of palletising robots are part of the same approach.
In ten years of operation, the company has invested more than 139 million euros in state-of-the-art equipment for receiving and processing milk, as well as in high-performance technologies for packaging finished products.
