The BRUA gas pipeline project, phases 1 and 2, and the Black Sea – Podisor transport infrastructure are priority projects of the Three Seas Initiative (I3M) in the field of Energy, and for the future it may envisaged the refurbishment of the storage deposits, according to the Ministry of Energy and Economy.
“Today, November 27, a meeting took place between representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Economy and Business Environment and the representatives of the Investment Fund for the Three Seas Initiative (I3M). During the meeting the investment objectives of the I3M Fund were presented and the topic of the discussions was focused on the national priority projects in the field of Energy. At this moment, in the list of priority projects I3M in the field of Energy there are 3 projects, respectively BRUA phase 1, BRUA phase 2 and the transport infrastructure Black Sea – Podisor. All 3 projects are implemented by Transgaz and are already receiving European funding,” according to the officials of the Ministry, quoted by financialintelligence.ro.
According to the quoted source, for the future, as a project proposal came the refurbishment of the storage deposits, in particular those targeting the BRUA route, in the context of Romania’s interest to include BRUA on the Southern Corridor route.
