About 30 modules of charging stations will be implemented in the capital, according to a decision adopted on Friday by the General Council of Bucharest (CGMB).
An amendment proposed by the ALDE general advisor Ion Valentin Voicu and adopted by the CGMB states that the charging station modules will be high power recharging points for cars, according to Agerpres.
Other adopted amendments provide that until January 1st, 2019 owners or managers of commercial or office spaces with more than 100 parking spaces will install high-powered vehicle recharge points for at least 1% of the respective parking spaces, the non-compliance with this provision constituting a contravention and will be sanctioned with a fine from 3.000 to 5.000 lei.
The amounts received from these contraventions are revenues to the local budget of Bucharest and will be used for projects aimed at reducing air pollution.
According to the motivation of the project, the number of electric cars registered in Romania is 299, while in Bucharest, the total is 187. Out of these, in Bucharest, 35 were registered in 2015, 85 in 2016, and 13 in the first two months of this year.
“The Rabla Plus program dedicated to the purchase of electric cars was not successful in 2016, due to the high prices of these cars. In Romania, such a car costs at least 30.000 euros. The year 2017 brings a new change to the purchase of an ecological car. All Romanians who want to buy a new car will benefit from state support. The Rabla program is modified, the voucher for an electric car will be 10.000 euros”, it is shown in the respective document.
