After intense negotiations, the general councilors from different parties reached a consensus regarding the final budget of the Capital City Hall. Thus, they vote on Friday, around 15.30, in a meeting, the new budget, which comes with revenue adjustments of about 1 billion lei compared to the initial form.

“It is not a perfect budget, but it is the necessary and correct step to start the investments in the Capital”, says the general mayor of the Capital, Nicuşor Dan. He said Thursday night’s talks on the capital’s budget were bringing ” expected progress.”

“Thursday night’s discussions on the capital’s budget registered the expected progress. We agreed on a series of adjustments to the draft budget, thus reaching a form accepted by everyone,” the mayor wrote on Facebook.

“Of course, it is not a perfect budget, but it is the necessary and correct step to start the investments in the Capital and to eliminate the debts and problems from the Firea-PSD period. We will continue to work together, including for the rectification in the second half of the year, in order to improve our approach to budgetary issues,” he added.

“I support, therefore, an increase solidarity in the coalition, but also maximum realism regarding the difficult issues. I thank the leaders and representatives of USR PLUS, PNL and PMP for their contribution to finding a solution.”

Prime Minister Florin Cîţu warned at the beginning of the week that the adoption of a budget of the Capital must take place as soon as possible, as there will be no delays from the national budget that will lead to new debts.
