[one_half]Decision makers at governmental and international level, as well as specialists and representatives of large energy companies from over 15 countries, on 3 continents, will meet in Bucharest, at Bucharest Energy Forum, on June 4-5 2014, at the Palace of Parliament.

Organized by the Aspen Institute Romania in partnership with the Government of Romania’s Ministry of Economy – Department of Energy, with the support of Exxon Mobil, OMV Petrom SA, Maldon & Wat, the GMF – US Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation, and the National Development Committee, the Forum combines geostrategic perspectives with the specificities of the Romanian energy market and international personalities with local actors.

The event brings together leading governmental and private actors in the energy sector in Europe, USA, the Black Sea region, the eastern Mediterranean area, Caucasus and Central Asia, European Commission officials, representatives of international financial institutions (EBRD, World Bank, IFC), leaders of some of the most powerful companies in the energy industry and energy security specialists representing organizations of regulators (ACER, ANRE), institutions and think tanks internationally renowned (Brookings Institute, Center for Strategic and international Studies – CSIS, International Centre for Defence Studies, GMF of the USA).

Discussions will cover topics such as trans-regional interconnections, investments in the energy infrastructure, future exploration and production of energy, commercial cooperation between EU and USA at the Black Sea and in thr Caspian region.

The key objective of Bucharest Energy Forum[/one_half][one_half_last]is to offer an annual, high level convening platform for private and public stakeholders in the Energy Sector in the Black Sea Region. An inclusive, educated conversation with key sector leaders and experts provides policymakers and investors with valuable, accurate and actionable information and offers a clear vision for decision makers.
